Why Buy Remanufactured/Refurbished?
Remanufactured and refurbished are two terms used interchangeably for products that have been used in the field, but have been rebuilt back to OEM standards. This means you receive a product that has had all consumable parts replaced.
Our products have also been cosmetically restored. They are cleaned, dyed, and/or painted to return them back to a new finish so the printer you receive is indistinguishable from a new one.
Every printer we sell is tested several times through the rebuild process, and a final test occurs before it can leave the building. Because of our rigorous standards, we have the confidence in our product to offer a 12 month warranty on every refurbished printer that leaves the facility. All that is to say that you receive a refurbished product that is built to the same quality as OEM, for MUCH less money. For example, a brand new P3015DN printer from HP with their 12 month warranty retails for $749.99. That same printer, as a refurbished unit from Valstar, is just $349.00.
Not only can you save money on printers, but also on toner, which lowers your all-important Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). A new model printer usually uses a new toner cartridge. Because it takes the industry a year or two to start remanufacturing cartridges, your only option on a new model printer is to buy OEM cartridges. When you buy refurbished printers, they are typically models that are a couple years old and we have remanufactured cartridges readily available for them at 1/3 of the price of new OEM toner.
