Shipping and Returns
How do I return an item?
 
Items may be returned within 7 days of purchase for refund of purchase price*.  Items returned 8-30 days after purchase date will incur a 20% restocking free.  After 30 days, products may not be returned for credit.  All returns will be inspected for product integrity prior to issuance of any return credit.  If item has been damaged, misused, tampered with, or altered in any way, Valstar is not liable for providing item credit.  Customer pays return shipping costs.
 
Any product returned to Valstar Printer Solutions WITHOUT an authorize RMA number will be automatically refused and no credit provided.
Step 1:
Go to the following Valstar Printer Solutions website page and complete the provided form:  Request for Return RMA.   You will need to have your Sales Order number available. This number is located on the Packing Slip received with your item. After warranty approval, you will be emailed an RMA # that is necessary to process your warranty.

Special Note:  If you return your printer without the proper Warranty RMA number, we cannot repair or return your printer.  The number is necessary for us to properly track your printer's repair.
 
Step 2:
Once you receive your RMA# follow the shipping instructions provided with your RMA #.   In most cases your printer will repaired and shipped back to you within two business days.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Write the RMA# in large letters on the OUTSIDE of the box.
  2. Remove any toner cartridges.
  3. Please  be sure to carefully pack the printer, preferably in its original box.  If itís damaged in return shipping due to poor packaging we will not be able to provide you with credit for its return.  Sometimes it requires extra packaging material in its original box as packing materials can settle during the initial shipping.  
  4. Keep in mind that the following materials ARE NOT acceptable packaging materials:  packing peanuts, shredded paper, newspaper.  If a package is shipped using these materials or no packaging materials at all the returned item will be automatically refused and warranty void.  It is imperative that the packaged printer is protected and does not shift or move in the box during shipping.  The best packaging material is rigid foam on all four sides of the printer.
  5. If your printer was shipped to you by freight (strapped to a pallet), the printer MUST BE returned by freight packaged the same way.  If you are unsure how to arrange a freight shipment, contact www.Freightquote.com and they can help you with freight arrangements.  Valstar does not endorse FreightQuote, we only suggest them as an option to help you.
 Once the product is returned, your account will be credited.
 
*New, unopened box items will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
How do I send my printer in for warranty work?
 
In the unlikely event your printer is not functioning properly within the warranty period, please follow the following procedure.

The cost of the return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer*.  Valstar will repair the printer and pay the shipping costs to return the printer to the buyer.
 
*In the event that the printer must be returned within 14 days of purchase due to damages caused by shipping, Valstar will cover the shipping costs to return the damaged printer.
 
Dead on Arrival (DOA)
*In the event that the printer must be returned for warranty work within 14 days of purchase due to damages caused by shipping, Valstar will cover the shipping costs to return the damaged printer for warranty repair.
My printer arrived, but it was damaged in shipping.
  During the first 14 days, if a product is found defective on arrival (DOA), Valstar will pay for the ground shipping costs to send the customer either a replaced unit or a replacement part to fix the unit, at our option.  After 14 days and until the end of the warranty period, transportation costs to return an item will be the responsiblity of the buyer.
What is your return policy?
